Uvonji grew up traveling the world with his parents & their renowned African gospel band ‘The Uzeles’. On tour, his mother used to seat him right next to the P.A. system while they played (hence his deep love for bass). Uvonji first took up the bass guitar at the age of eight & his love-affair with the instrument has done nothing but grow ever since; “I never play bass to make myself sound good, I play to make the music sound great overall. This is the art of real bass playing.”
