The James Hamer Band, or ‘JHB’, is the brain-child of James Hamer. James wanted a project that would allow him complete creative control without the constraints of a typical 'band' scenario limiting his creative vision. Thus, the ‘JHB’ was Born. The JHB are the Lalawethika musicians & they work with James to present his music both live & in the studio.

The JHB is to become a posse of musicians that are free to come & go, & may or may not be drawn upon for any particular project (depending upon the direction of that project). With this in mind, there will be two tiers of the JHB. There's the ‘core’ members (whom are the permanent fixtures in the group at that given time) & then there's the rest of the JHB (who may or may not join us here & there). If it helps, think or the core members as the ‘band’ (so to speak) & the rest of the JHB as collaborators or guests on specific projects or performances.

The JHB is the biggest driving factor of Lalawethika & any releases that feature James, along with any of the JHB members, will be released under the name of 'James Hamer Band'.

The staple of the James Hamer Band’s work is as a power trio, with James’ raw guitars & melodic vocals taking centre stage. Our aim is to present real music, by real musicians ..so get your funky shoes on coz we're coming to town!
